Story of seven brothers and sisters who produce coffee in the western valley of Costa Rica, in the Lourdes de Naranjo area. In 2010, Antonio Barrantes plants in his Finca Cafetalera Herbazu, the Kenyan variety SL28, one of the most well-known varietals of Africa, produces some of the highest quality cups of coffee in the world. The first production of these plants was harvested in 2015 and won the first prize at the Cup of Excellence. The production of Cafetalera Herbazu represents about 2000 fanegas, which are wooden boxes used as a unit of measurement in agricultural circles, equivalent to about 55 litres. The coffee is handpicked by workers, who are specialists in picking 100% ripe coffee.
